Soy Allergy Alert: Tyson Prepared Foods, Inc.

Tyson Prepared Foods, Inc. is recalling “Arrezzio-Cooked Beef Pizza Topping Manzo Cotto Per Pizza” due to undeclared soy. The packaging identifies the products as beef, but they actually contain pork, which includes soy as an ingredient.
The products were sold to food service institutions nationwide and intended for use in restaurants or institutional food operations.
The affected products are packaged in 10-lb. cartons containing two 5-lb. packages; they bear the establishment number “EST. 623” inside the USDA mark of inspection and were produced Jan. 12, 2012.

Milk Allergy Alert: Publix

Publix is recalling a single lot code of “Publix Beef Stew Mix” due to undeclared milk. The package may contain brown gravy, which contains milk.
The product was sold in Publix supermarkets in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina.  
The affected product is packaged in a 1.45-oz. container with UPC number 41415-03608 and date code “BEST BY DEC 09 13 H.”
